Corrective and Punitive Establishment
at Al Wathba is a smoke-free environment

  

The Corrective and Punitive Establishment at Abu Dhabi Police implements a transitional plan to make all its facilities, including inmates sheds, smoke-free zones. Brigadier Yusuf Abdul Kareem, Director of Corrective and Punitive establishments states that this trend is part of the Ministry of Interior’s strategic plan to curb smoking habit to achieve quality and efficiency in work. Al Wathba Section has implemented a number of practical procedures in this regard.

Inmates of Al Wathba Section have participated in conveying a message to outside world urging them to refrain from smoking. Brigadier Abdul Kareem thanked Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company for sponsoring the occasion and providing gifts for participants. The event is attended by Lt. Col. Ali Ahmed Al Khayal, Head of the Section and its staff and Mr. Mohammad Saleh, Director of Public Relations at the Company.
