Capital police to heighten patrols in parks and malls during Eid holidays
The Capital Police Directorate has prepared a comprehensive plan to ensure public safety and security during the days of Eid Al Fitr, affirming the readiness of police personnel to offer all facilities to public parks visitors.
Brigadier Maktoum Al Shareefi, director the Capital Police Directorate has directed all the heads of police stations affiliated with the Directorate to take all preventive measures during the days of Eid and urged them to multiply efforts and heighten patrols on the public parks, Abu Dhabi Corniche, commercial centers and other places which are expected to attract more visitors.
He indicated that police agencies are committed to offer security services in order to reinforce links with the public and enhance its social and humanitarian role.
He urged families to take care of their children and prevent them from playing with firecrackers which cause serious damages to the health and also cause house fires. He called on them to immediately report any shops or persons using or selling such materials.
He appealed on citizens and residents not to show sympathy with beggars at the Eid praying yards, petrol stations, markets and residential compounds, assuring that anti-begging teams would increase monitoring at these areas during the days of Eid Al Fitr.
