Al Shaafar receives the UNODC Executive Director
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar, MoI Undersecretary has received at MoI Headquarters Mr. Yuri Fedotov, Director General of the United Nations Office at Vienna and UNODC Executive Director and his accompanying delegation.
MoI Undersecretary welcomed the visitor and the accompanying delegation, affirming MoI keenness to enhance cooperation, coordination and communication with the Office to ensure success of its tasks.
During the meeting they discussed issues of mutual concern and ways to boost cooperation and coordination between two sides, in respect of fighting crime and drugs.
Mr. Yuri Fedotov in turn expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and all MoI Officials for their close cooperation with UNODC in Abu Dhabi and facilitating its tasks and duties.
He also expressed his appreciation of the efforts made by MoI and its constructive cooperation with the Office in the best interest of both sides.
The meeting was attended by Lt. Colonel Hassan Rashid al Shamsi, Director of Anti-Narcotics Department, Lt. Colonel (Dr.) Jamal Saif Faris, Director of MoI International Cooperation and Dr. Hatim Ali, representative of semi-regional Office on Drugs and Crime.
