Al Ain Traffic call on motorist not to park illegally near mosques
Traffic and Patrols section of Al Ain renewed its call on motorists to abide by traffic rules and avoid parking their vehicles illegally during the times of Taraweeh prayers as the last ten days of Ramadan have begun.
Compliance with that will make roads round the mosques clear thus emergency and civil defense vehicles can enter freely during emergencies.
Major Mohsen Al Mansouri, acting head section of Al Ain’s Traffic and Patrol urged motorists to respect the duties of other road users and to avoid blocking exists and entries of parking areas, as part of the awareness campaign being organized by the Security Media Department at the Secretariat- General of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minster and Ministry of Interior in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate.
He called on them to park their vehicles on the designated parking spaces and avoid double parking as this would prevent blocked vehicles from moving especially in an emergency situation.
The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police have also made a similar initiative in the last few days and called on motorists to take the spiritual opportunity of Ramadan to contribute to the delivery of traffic safety through abiding by traffic rules, reducing speed, wearing seatbelt, avoid using handheld phone while driving, leaving enough distance before other vehicles and avoid double parking.
His Eminence Sheikh Hisham Yahya, a preacher at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Awqaf also urged praying persons to obey traffic laws and regulations, indicating that such laws are entirely consistent with the purposes of Shari’ah “Islamic Law” which calls for preserving life, property and public safety.
