The Al Ain Police managed to arrest the perpetrator of the crime, which occurred in the Hili Industrial area in Al Ain city, in less than four hours upon receiving notification.
Brigadier General Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of Al Ain Police Directorate, indicated that the Al Ain Police identified the killer, a 30-year old Asian national, (S.S.R) who conspired and intentionally killed his colleague, a 33-year old Asian worker named (M. G).

The victim succumbed immediately to his wounds, at the scene of the crime.
Furthermore, Al Amimi stated that the Al Jimi Police Station, affiliated to the Directorate, had received notification from a community member, reporting a dead body in the nearby sandy region, east of the Hili Industrial area. A team was immediately dispatched to the scene, to validate the notification and take the necessary legal action.
“The crime scene was cordoned off and processed by the competent forensics team. The notification was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department at the Directorate; a team was formed to investigate the circumstances of the crime and identify the perpetrator,” he added. Moreover, the victim was identified as (M. G) a 33-year old Asian, working as an assistant electrician at a general maintenance company.
According to Brigadier Al Amimi, the killer, a 30-year old Asian national, (S.S.R), had planned to kill his work colleague and leave the country. “Investigations showed that the perpetrator had quit his job at the company and cashed in his salaries and dues, and moved to another area to avoid suspicions,” he continued.
The Criminal Investigation team members located the killer’s new residence in the Nyadat area, and managed to arrest him in less than two hours of identifying him, and in less than 4 hours of receiving notification. The perpetrator was nabbed shortly before leaving the country.
