Ajman civil Defense Department called upon all community members to adhere to safety and prevention measures in relation to fires, and to be committed to the directives and guidelines set by concerned authorities, in addition to the need to maintain fire extinguishing equipment in homes and learn how to use them.
Brigadier Saleh Saeed Al Matroushi, Director of Ajman Civil Defense General Department said on the occasion of a fire outbreak today morning (Tuesday) in a house in Al Hamidiyah area in Ajman that destroyed the whole property: “house fire outbreaks may occur due to neglect or lack of safety information by family members. Heating and cooling electric devices at home maybe the reason for fire outbreaks, explosions, injuries, or deaths in case safety measures, instructions related to networks wiring and electrical wiring were neglected.”
He warned from the risks of violations of safety measures in villas, houses, buildings and other facilities, especially during summers due to the rise of temperatures.
He stressed that civil defense is always ready to provide safety to all community members through its centers in all areas, noting that those centers are equipped with state of the art mechanisms and equipment, in addition to trained human resources to deal with emergencies and different incidents, asserting that the cooperation of the public is the first line of defense to avoid such incidents.
He said: “the civil defense through the national campaign for families’ safety at homes in the UAE level is providing awareness programmes on risks of fires, how to avoid their outbreaks, and how to act in emergencies, in addition to required procedures in such cases to evacuate residents from risky areas to safety.”
He concluded by calling upon families and their members to adhere to safety measures especially during hot summers. He also wished safety to all members of the UAE community.
