Air wing transport 2 children, two men to hospitals  

ADP GHQ Air Wing Section carried out a number of tasks last week. It air lifted 4 patients, attended to them on board and evacuated them to Al Mufraq Hospital and Badah Zayed Hospital in the Western Region, in addition to fire incident photography.

Air Wing aircraft lifted an Emirati patient, 77 years old, suffering from heart attack, from Al Salaa Hospital in the Western Region to Al Mufraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He was provided with necessary care on board by aircraft medical crew.

In another mission the Air Wing aircraft lifted a national young man, 19 years old, sustaining sever injuries in his head and spine due to a traffic accident. He was taken from Al Zaid Hospital in Sharjah to Khalifa Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He was attended to on board by the medical crew of the aircraft including artificial breathing.

The third mission involved an Emirati child, 14 months old, suffering from a blockage in respiratory tracks after swallowing a foreign object. After the operation he suffered from complications and his lungs blew up. He was lifted from Saqr Hospital in RAK to Khalifa Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He was attended to on board as well.

The Air Wing aircraft lifted a newly born Emirati baby from Dalma Hospital in the Western Region to Bida Zaid Hospital in the same Region. An Indian patient, 35 years old, was lifted from Al Salaa Hospital in the Western Region to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Abu Dhabi. A Romanian patient, 54 years old, suffering from respiration problems and heart failure, was lifted from Al Ruweis Hospital in the Western Region to Al Mufraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi.

In two separate missions the Air Wing aircraft carried out thermal photography tasks upon a call from the Central Operations. The first task was to photograph a fire incident at Aajban Area and the second task involved a fire incident in a spare parts container at Mussafah.
