Abu Dhabi Traffic distributes 10 thousand token gifts to drivers
ADP Directorate of Traffic and Patrols, in celebration of the 39th National Day distributed today's morning, Tuesday 10 thousand token gifts inspired by the patriotic significances of the celebrations.
The gifts included shirts and caps in the UAE flag colors. They distributed them to drivers on internal and external roads of Abu Dhabi Emirate, within the framework of partnership and cooperation with the community.
Colonel (Engineer) Hussain Ahmed Al Harthi, Director of Traffic and Patrols affirmed the depth of implications of the National day celebrations. It was a national symbol materializes what had been achieved the Union over 39 years.
He stressed his Directorate keenness to communicate these meanings and significances to drivers in order to boost their participation in the celebrations of the occasion, commitment to the country achievements, reducing economic and human losses caused by traffic accidents so that our roads would become safer.
He indicated that the Directorate had implemented a number of programmes to celebrate the National day, including quizzes, awareness programmes followed by prizes to students, field visits to the traffic Directorate, a programme at Abu Dhabi Center for disabled="disabled" persons rehabilitation and Care and Awareness festival.
A number of drivers expressed their appreciation of the kind gesture of the Directorate of Traffic and patrols to join the community in all social events, in order to strengthen the relationship between police and the public, the thing which would enhance traffic safety.
In the same context, major Awadh Saif Al Blushi, Head of Public Relations Section at the Directorate said "communication with the public especially drivers is an important step in cementing relationship with them and to enhance the image of traffic policemen".
