Colonel Salim Ali Al Qattam Al Zaabi, Abu Dhabi Residency and Foreigners Affairs Director General, inaugurated the directorate’s external service office, which is located in Bldg. 1 within the Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority.
The office issues every type of entry permit and provides other services such as the issuance and renewal of residencies for employees working at Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority companies.
Norah Al Kaabi, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority; Colonel Aziz Hamoud Al Amri, Director General of Strategy and Performance Development Directorate General; Colonel Salim Mohammed Al Ameri, Head of External Offices Department; First Lieutenant Yusuf Al Hammadi, Secretary of the Director General’s Office; Khalifa Al Kaabi, Finance President of the Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority; and a number of officials from the authority were present at the opening ceremony.
He added that the office provides services to residents who work at the authority companies. “It handles all types of entry permits as well as issues and renews residencies. This office will decrease pressure at the Abu Dhabi Residency and Foreigners Affairs Directorate General. It will save time and energy, and will be effective in carrying out its procedures quickly,” he explained.
Norah Al Kaabi welcomed Colonel Al Zaabi and the accompanying delegation. She extended her gratitude and appreciation for their cooperation and stressed her commitment to communicating with the Abu Dhabi Residency and Foreigners Affairs Directorate General.
She briefed the visitors on the Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority. She explained the authority’s activities regarding the issuance of permits to media companies to work in the free zone. She also highlighted its goals to make Abu Dhabi a destination for creativity by generating Arabic media content, providing services to media professionals, establishing partnerships with media institutions, and supporting and translating creative ideas into reality.
Colonel Al Zaabi and the accompanying delegation toured the Media Zone Authority, where they were briefed on the work process and different services provided to media companies that work under the authority.
