Abu Dhabi Police witnesses the graduation of Emirati trainers in Germany
A delegation from ADP led by Lt. Colonel Jamal Habash, Director of Security Inspection Department (k9), witnessed the graduation ceremony from dog trainers' course in the Federal Republic of Germany. Two Emirati dog trainers from K9 attended the training course. C-in-c of Fadden Burge District Police, Major General Michel Valder and Director of Dog Training School were present during the ceremony.
Major General Valder lauded the distinguished standard of dog trainers at ADP and their keenness to gain knowledge and experience, the thing that confirms ADP strategy towards enhancement of scientific approach.
"ADP participation in the training course reflects the distinguished cooperation with German Police in training areas. It also confirms the close relations and knowledge exchange in different policing and security fields", added Valder.
He expressed his appreciation of the two trainers' commitment, discipline and good conduct during the course.
ADP had sent 1st Sergeant Trainer Khalid Al Shamsi and Sergeant Trainer Badr Al Miqbali to Germany to attend a four-month Training Course with a number of German dog trainers.
Lt. Colonel Jamal Habash said "ADP has selected="true" and purchased dogs to be trained. The training course programme includes training dogs to obey trainer's orders for one month. The second month includes training in identifying drugs samples. The third month dogs are trained to detect drugs at airports, sea ports and border checkpoints. The fourth month is dedicated to practical training in official tasks"
"The trainees have shown high level of efficiency in training as the C-in-c of Fadden Burge District Police lauded their performance in his speech. They passed the theoretical and practical units of the training course with excellence. They were honored as well", added Habash.
Lt. Ahmed Ibrahim Suri, Head of Technical and Vocational training at K9 Department, was in ADP delegation.
