Abu Dhabi Police medical labs comes first
The medical laboratory at Medical Services Department of Abu Dhabi Police gained the first place out of 40 lab units across the Emirates and out of 701 lab units globally, according to BIO - RAD LAB’S Analysis Program.
Director General of Finance and Services, Major Gen. Khalil Dawood Badran affirmed that the work of the Medical Services harmonizes with the strategy of Abu Dhabi Police which adopts excellent international criteria in terms of using the best equipment and technicians.
“The Medical Services Department is working to attain the same level achieved by other units of the laboratory, and this is beginning step to obtain international laboratory accreditation”, noted Badran.
For his part, Brig. Salem Saleh Al Junaibi, director of the Department said, Bio-Rad Program, also known as “immunity program” is held annually and it measures the results of blood tests across the work at different hospitals and laboratories”.
According to him, 40 government and private laboratories in the UAE in addition to other 701 international have participated in the program.
With big hospital participating, the Program is one of the most important competitive programs in this field worldwide, and it attracts huge attention of medical facilities.
“Medical laboratory of Medical Services Department joined the program during 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In the last year it managed to take the first place”, noted Al Junaibi,
He asserted the participation of the Department for this year, and expressed that next year the Department will keep the first the place.
