"Management of Change from Operational Perspective"
ADP Research and Security Studies Center has issued recently a new study titled "Management of Change from Operational Perspective", by Major General Nasser Salim Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior has lauded, in his preface to the study, the efforts made by the author. HH has read all topics included in the study, where he said "They are well organized and they reflect the sober intellectual mentality and methodology which has revealed the relationship between practical and theoretical concepts and the horizons of practical application in an accurate and at the same time exciting way".
Major General Al Nuaimi has affirmed the importance of change in MoI and ADP and its role in adopting projects and initiatives which serve the police organization.
The study consists of 117 pages, divided into four chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter deals with the basics of change and development. It contains the following sub-titles: From educated illiterate to the developed reader, reward and punishment, writing culture, distinguished and talkative people and inevitable beginning and end. The second chapter highlights the human element in administration. It contains the following sub-titles: national identity philosophy "new concept", leader humanity, effective family = safe community, wisdom and authority and inactivity is a result of obstinacy.
Chapter three states examples of successful change and development. It includes the following sub-titles: The Comprehensive Police Station 20/80, excellence is not a vacuum, change culture before change management, future leadership, affairs and sentiments in committees. The last chapter speaks about obstacles in change and development progress.
