Abu Dhabi Police arrests a housewife selling drugs

 

Abu Dhabi Police has arrested a housewife of Arab nationality who allegedly trading in6480 narcotic pills hidden in strips and medical carton boxes.

She was arrested in a well planned sting where she was caught red-handed after she sold the shipment to an undercover police officer for Dh 300,000.

Lt. Colonel Sultan Al Darmaki, Head of Anti-narcotics Section at ADP Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said "WE have received information about a 30-year old woman, identified as "F. Aa. A."" possessing narcotic pills and was looking for a buyer".

The woman was placed under observation, a warrant was issued, one of the police officers, working undercover, fixed an appointment with the woman to buy the pills at a fixed place in one of Abu Dhabi areas.

The woman was caught red-handed as she handed over the pills to the undercover police officer. She was in the process of making another deal to sell more drugs after she received a new shipment of pills from a drug dealer outside the country. The shipment was placed in many medical carton boxes and strips, with a total of 6,480 pills.

Al Darmaki urged all community members to report any suspected behavior, in any area, without hesitation, so as to put an end to such criminal acts which could affect the security and safety of the country.

The Anti-narcotics Law No. (14/95), stipulates that whoever imports, manufactures, extracts, produces or possesses narcotic drugs stated in the table No. (3, 6, 7, 8), shall be punished with life imprisonment and punitive measures may well reach the capital sentence if the narcotic drugs dealt with are those in the list (1, 2, 4), on condition that the crime is committed with the intention of trading or pushing narcotic drugs.
