Abu Dhabi Police concluded its seminar on the efforts of combating electronic crimes, recently organized by Criminal Investigation Department in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police Training Department.
Deputy director-general of Police Operation, Brig. Omar Al Muhairi, confirmed that Abu Dhabi Police is keen on providing all equipment and tools which can reduce electronic crimes, adding that such crimes could not be confronted without collective efforts.
At the end of the seminar, director of Criminal Investigation Department, Brig Hammad Ahmed Al Hammadi, said, “ thanks to the directives of the police leadership, this seminar achieved its desired objectives, and elucidated the international efforts made to fight electronic crimes”.
Best technologies and methods have been introduced in the area, he pointed out.
The seminar which was held at the Intercontinental Hotel focused on a number of issues including, legislations, procedures, and efforts being made to trim down such crimes.
At the end of the seminar, Advisor Dr. Mohammed Obeid Al Kaabi, a judge at the federal courts, spoke about the IT crimes enforcement law in which he refereed to some crimes including illegal access to websites and systems, electronic documents forgery, and blocking access to the service.
Emad Al Koumi, Advisor at the Technical Office of the Prosecutor -General, spoke also at the seminar about the IT law and stages of legal proceeding on electronic crimes.
The seminar was concluded by handing over certificates to the participants.
