The Abu Dhabi Police, in collaboration with the Armed Forces and Abu Dhabi Education Council, partook on Wednesday, in the graduation ceremony of 600 female students from the Military Education Program “Al Bayariq”. The graduation ceremony of Grade 12 students from 13 high schools in Abu Dhabi took place at the Zayed University for Girls Theatre in Khalifa City “B” in Abu Dhabi.
Maryam Khalifa Al Shamsi, Head of Military Training at Al Shaheen; the executing company of the “Al Bayariq” Program in Abu Dhabi, stressed the attention given to the program by Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, and the success it has achieved in its first and current session. She also praised the support of the government leaderships which contributed in shaping our students’ character and developing their sense of responsibility.
Al Shamsi stated that the program included military training as well as police and martial arts, and aims to raise the level of military and police awareness among the students.
She added that “Al Bayariq” Program provides the female students with a golden opportunity by rehabilitating them, training them and providing them with all life necessities and skills which enable them to protect themselves as well as their community and nation. The program relies on an important principle represented in self- refining in discipline and behavior as required by our Islamic religion as well as our national and Arabic customs and traditions.
For her part, Wafaa Rashed Al Hanae, the Military Training supervisor of “Al Bayariq” Program for female students in Abu Dhabi, stated that the program focused on the academic stage of Grade 12 with the participation of 600 students from 13 high school in Abu Dhabi, and with the collaboration of the Armed Forces, Abu Dhabi General Headquarters and Abu Dhabi Educational Council. The program aimed to develop the feeling of nationalism, instill the spirit of giving and loyalty towards the nation and the leadership in the souls of our sons and daughters, as well as to enhance the military awareness and sense of discipline and responsibility among the female students.
The ceremony began with the UAE National Anthem and a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by military shows including an infantry show as well as police and life skills show. The students presented a poetry passage expressing their love for the country, and at the end of the ceremony, the students were honored and awards were distributed.
