Lieutenant Colonel Suhail Al Khaili, Head of the Vehicles Licensing Department in Abu Dhabi Police said that they have provided a free service for disabled persons; they can complete the vehicles registration transactions from their preferred location via the "Taresh" service. The service provides an employee who is dedicated to the task of receiving all the vehicles registration documents.

The Abu Dhabi Police provide this service under the initiative "Sow Hope," which was launched in April 2010 to integrate disabled people into society, provide full care to them, and motivate them to towards productivity.

“After agreeing on a date to provide the documentation with the disabled applicant, the representative of "Taresh" arrives to collect the required documents from the applicant. Then, the “Taresh” representation redelivers the documents to the beneficiary at a location specified by him,” he added.  He stressed that the service is not collecting any service fees, but only the transaction fees.

The service allows vehicle owners, individuals and government entities, especially in Abu Dhabi, to carry out transactions related to vehicles, by delivering the vehicle, the papers and required documents to an employee in the service against specific fees.

“The service provides time and comfort. It also alleviates applicants’ need to go to the Licensing Directorate to complete their transactions. They can contact the service on the phone number "800 827374" and provide the employee with their name, the location details, the required service, and other data to verify the caller’s personal details, and agree on a date. The representative can then complete the contact procedures and the receipt of the vehicle along with the necessary documents,” he explained.

Lieutenant Al Khaili emphasized that the service reflects  humanitarian nature and is an embodiment of the Police Headquarters vision in the provision of full support and care for this category, which received significant attention from the Abu Dhabi Police initiatives, adding that the service will also create a positive reputation for them.

In parallel, Colonel Al Khaili confirmed that the service “Taresh” provides the applicants with the completion of Vehicles Inspection Transaction in ADNOC, the renewal, registration and cancellation of vehicles, the installation and replacement of the number plates, and the issuance of tourist deportation and ownership transfer certificates.

He stressed that the time period for the service completion and the re-delivery of the vehicle to the owner takes between two to three hours, explaining that when the service receives a phone call on the number (800 827374) from the person wishing to receive this service, the employee will be responsible of getting the vehicle and the required documents.

“Then, "Taresh" pursues, through its representative, the completion of the procedures, the provision of the service, and the re-delivery of the vehicle to its owner,” he said.

Lieutenant Al Khaili pointed out that the service fees are about 250 dirhams for the applicants in Abu Dhabi, and 300 dirhams for applicants outside Abu Dhabi, emphasizing its importance in saving time and effort for those wishing to receive it.
