The Abu Dhabi Police Newscast, broadcast at 7:00 pm every Saturday via Emarat FM, has achieved success in enhancing the media message of the Abu Dhabi Police and introducing its activities and services to the public; supporting the community partnership and utilizing the relationship to build a link between the police institution and the public.
The number of broadcast newscasts between January and June amounted to 34, and included 240 various reports on different Abu Dhabi Police activities and events. The news covered educational campaigns and police efforts to improve and develop services.
The Radio Studio at Abu Dhabi Police managed to achieve a qualitative step in utilizing the Abu Dhabi Police media message to address public via radio in an honest and transparent manner. The media message aims to educate citizens and residents while enforcing the social partnership with the police institution.
First Lieutenant Hamdan Al Derey, Head of the Radio Branch at the Security Media Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said that this newscast represents a link connecting the Ministry of Interior and Abu Dhabi Police with the public, as it introduces the police activities, services, and other relevant news to the public. He added that it has been delivering various newscasts since its launch last January. First Lieutenant Al Derey pointed out that the newscast is produced at the Radio Studio at the Security Media Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, and is aired via Emarat FM.
Abdul Rahman Awadh Al Harthi, Manager of Abu Dhabi Radio Network, commended the level that Abu Dhabi newscast has reached. He stressed on the cooperation between the two parties to raise awareness among the public in order to enhance social partnership and develop the services provided by the Ministry of Interior.
Ahmad Saleh, News Director at Abu Dhabi Radio Network, said that the newscast opens new horizons for communication between the Ministry of Interior, represented by Abu Dhabi Police, and the society. He praised the achievements that have been made in utilizing the media message to build a strong partnership with individuals and different media outlets.
Saleh expressed his hopes to expand the activities of the Radio Studio of Abu Dhabi Police to produce a variety of programs that address the public on all levels.
