The Abu Dhabi Community Police Department, represented by the Community Police Department in the Peripheral Areas in a community-based event organized by Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs, focused on providing care and attention to autistic children. It is noteworthy that the Organization aims, through this event, to enhance the community-based partnership with government and private departments and private institutions, and promote communication between the police and all segments of society.  Also attending the event was the Bani Yas Sports Club.

Captain Abdullah Al Harthi, Head of Community Police Affairs Department at the Peripheral Areas Police Directorate said: “The participation of the Community Police in these events embodies the main pillars of the Community Police, aimed to enhance coordination and cooperation between police entities and community members”.

“The Community Police endeavors to promote partnerships with government and private entities, in order to overcome the obstacles that may encounter community members, to enhance security and stability in the country”, noted Captain Al Harthi.

For her part, Aysha Saif Al Mansouri, Director of the Abu Dhabi Autism Center affiliated to Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs lauded the role of the Abu Dhabi Police, through the participation of the Community Police. Moreover, she pointed out that this participation reflects the good community-based cooperation between governmental institutions, and the various police entities. She also indicated that the Higher Leadership dedicates the utmost attention and care to its members in all community institutions that provide care for people with special needs.

Furthermore, Al Mansouri extended her appreciation and gratitude to all Abu Dhabi Police officials for the moral support and to Bani Yas Sports Club for participating in the Center’s activities.  She also expressed her thanks to all those who attended the event and participated with the students in the entertaining and sports competitions, which were enjoyed by all.

She also extended her appreciation and gratitude to Media personality Jassem Obeid, who dressed up as a teddy, bringing happiness and joy to children’s hearts.

The event had started with a presentation shedding light on autism and its various phases. Then, the guests enjoyed a number of entertaining and sports activities with the children.

At the end of the event, Captain Al Harthi and Aysha Al Mansouri distributed commemorative gifts to the students.
