ADP trains its personnel in “Communication Tactics” and “Tonfa Stick”
Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters celebrated yesterday, the graduation of trainees from two training courses’ (Tactical Communications and Combat Skills) for Government and Diplomatic Establishments Protection Department, under supervision of experts from the Department of Strategy and Performance Development. The other course was (Tonfa Stick and Tears Gas) for Special Tasks Department personnel.
Graduation ceremony of (Tactical Communications and Combat Skills) Course held at the training hall of the Government and Diplomatic Establishments Protection Department was attended by Lt. Colonel Rashid Salim Al Shamsi, on behalf of the Department Director. He lauded the efforts of the trainees and their good performance. He also thanked the experts who supervised the course.
17 NCOs and other ranks participated in the course; where they received advanced training in combat skills, self-defence and communication tactics for one week.
The graduation ceremony of Tonfa Stick and Tears Gas Training Course was attended by Lt. Colonel Ali Hassan Khassif, Head of Riot Control Section. 16 NCOs attended the course. The trainees received training in self-defence skills by use of Tonfa stick and how to use tears gas for two weeks. The course was intended to develop participants’ performance and to assist them in performing their operational tasks efficiently.
At the end of the ceremony Lt. Colonel Khassif honored the graduates and urged them to work very hard in order to develop their performance.
