Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hamadi, Director of Forensic Evidence Department of the Directorate general of Security affairs at ADP, has revealed that his Department plans to set up databases for DNA, Isotopes of Radioactive Elements, Firearms Print, Tires Print, Shoes Print, Fibers print, paints Print and Fingerprint Decimal.

He added, The Department studies the project of setting up a database for vehicles in the country. This system is adopted by many advanced countries in the world. It needs a database for all types of vehicles. By staging a mock accident you can learn about the traces of the tire on the road, speed, distance and time of the accident. These data can be stored on a computer as a reference for the future.

A training programme organized by the Training Department includes 14-day four courses, in collaboration with the South Queensland University in Australia, on how to apply mathematical equations to know the causes of accidents and its surroundings by use of advanced measurement meters.

A course on analysis of traffic accidents has recently been concluded. 12 employees from the Department, Traffic Department and Crime Scene participated in the course. This course is an introduction to the rest three courses. During these courses the trainees will provided with all information and practical applications that assist in traffic accidents analysis. The course included a vehicle runs at different speeds to know its speed when the brakes were applied.
