Abu Dhabi Police GHQ has participated in the “vote of Bu Tinah” to make it one of the New7Wonders (N7W) of Nature, urging staff members to continue cast their votes for bu Tinah via E-mail www.n7w.com , SMS BUTINAH in either English or Arabic to 3888 via Etisalat or Du.

Abu Dhabi Police participation in “vote bu Tinah” coincides with the country’s celebrations of 40th anniversary of UAE National Day themed as “the spirit of the union” and ensures its keenness on conserving the environment and encouraging national   belongingness, said Major General Staff Obeid Al Hiri al Kutbi, Deputy Commander General of Abu Dhabi Police.

Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, director general of Finance and Services of Abu Dhabi Police was the first to cast his vote for Bu Tina.

Major General Al Kutbi has urged all Abu Dhabi Police personnel to cast their votes before November 11, acknowledging the 'Bu Tinah Experience' exhibition, a replica of the Bu Tinah Island in Abu Dhabi a replica of the island created by the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi on the Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Bu Tinah, located around 130 km west of Abu Dhabi, is a unique island and a core area of the Marawah Marine Biosphere Reserve - the first marine biosphere reserve in the region. In spite of the harsh temperatures and salinity, its habitats and species, including mangroves, dolphins and the Socotra Cormorant bird, continue to thrive, making the island an important location and living lab for climate change studies.
