ADP participates in American Academy of Forensic Sciences Conference
A delegation from ADP Department of Forensic Evidence has participated in American Academy of Forensic Science a seven-day Conference held recently. A workshop was organized on the side lines of the Conference comprised a number of experts from different world countries.
ADP delegation Headed by Major (Expert) Mohammad Saeed Al Jabri, Head of Chemical Analysis Section and Members 1st Lt. Saleh Al Marzouqi from the Technical Section, Lt. Zainab Al Katheeri from Documents Examination Section, reviewed the latest technologies of handling forensic evidences as part of the Conference activities.
Major Al Jabri attended a workshop on drugs and poisons at the workshop and increasing use of Methadone and Finsikladene drugs in USA.
A number of working papers were presented during the Conference. The most important paper was dealing with the relationship between forensic laboratories, prosecution and courts, and importance of accuracy while analysis processes to avoid mistakes.
The workshop on electronic crimes the delegation acquainted themselves with the latest devices to compare images and how to detect any manipulation in them, reconstruction of crime scene through the photos taken from the site of incident.
In the Document workshop which Lt. Zainab Al Katheeri participated in, dealt with the anatomy of the nerves and physiology of hand movements and how the brain controls these movements. The workshop also discussed the effect of illness and medicine treatment on handwriting, such as Parkinson disease and depression medicines.
