ADP organizes a course on “Dealing with others skills”
The Department of Training at ADP GHQ has organized recently a one-day training course under the title “Skills of dealing with different types o0f personality”. It was attended by senior officers from different ADP GHQ Departments, at Shangrila Hotel, Abu Dhabi.
The lecturer Dr. Tariq Ali Al Habib discussed three themes during the lecture: Personality Disorder, Types of Personality and the last one for discussions. At the end of the course Brigadier Jamie Ahmed Al Mashrakh presented a trophy to Dr. Al Habib as a commemorative gift, and he gave away the course certificates to the participants.
Colonel Mohammad Ahmed Al Hosani, Director of Social Support Caterers Department at ADP GHQ said “Such courses are important as they make you learn the skills required to deal with different types of personalities. It needs deeper study especially for those who work in social fields, investigation officers, CID staff, and operational police elements who deal directly with the public and community”.
Dr. Tariq said “The course benefits police elements in understanding themselves and their emotions. Accordingly he always ask himself when he takes an emotional or rational decision, in a certain situation, why he has taken that decision? The second benefit is that the police officer can understand others.. Hence he can know the best method he should adopt to deal with them”.
Dr. Tariq got his Bachelor Degree in Medicine from King Soud University in Saudi Arabia, He got higher degrees in Psychology from Saudi Arabi, Ireland and UK. His scientific interests are the treatment of emotional disturbances, dealing with others skills and the relationship between religion and psychological health.
The course dealt with different types of behavior, personal experiences, abnormal thinking, unbalanced emotions and behavior disorder.
