ADP organize a poetry evening on World Poetry Day 

 

ADP GHQ to organize a poetry evening on Sunday for a number of ADP personnel, on the occasion of World Poetry Day. The event will take place at The Forensic Evidence Department Conference Room.

Mr. Abdullah Shaheen, Event Organizer and Director of Press Branch at the Secretariat General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior said " The attention that ADP pays to poetry and poets and marking the World Poetry Day, reflects ADP new slogan (ADP keeps pace with event), not at local level but at global level as well".

"Promotion of and highlighting of creativity among employees is not apart from the development and growth of physical skills. This unprecedented poetry evening in police organizations of the Region, confirms that modern strategy approach of policing is in the lead, in terms of deepening communication with the community to gain community trust by all means available", added Mr. Shaheen.

Standard language and stereotyped poems under the theme (In the love of the Country) will be delivered during the evening. They will confirm the constructive role of poetry in promoting patriotic sense and spirit of belonging. They instill loyalty values in the youth generation.

A number of poets will participate in the evening, including Hamdan bin Surookh Al Darie, Nasser Al Niyadi, Mohammad Al Minhali, Saeed Al Kitbi, Salim Al Kaabi and Ghabsha Al Mansouri and others.

The UNISCO has approved the 21st of March each year as a World Poetry Day to celebrate poetry and poets all over the world.
