ADP intensifies traffic awareness at Security and Safety Exhibition in Bani Yass 

 

ADP GHQ has intensified its public safety programmes among students by organizing Security and public Safety during the period from 5 to 8 April 2010. 

Major Humeid Al Aafari, Director of Bani Yass Police Station of  ADP Directorate of Peripheral Areas Police, said “The Exhibition organized by Bani Yass Police Station at Maryam bint Omran Preparatory Schools will conclude its activities tomorrow, Thursday. The Exhibition focuses on educating community members, specially the students on safe road crossing, ambulance and rescue, first aids, prevailing diseases and methods of fighting them. IT also teaches students and the public how to measure blood pressure, blood sugar, the problems that students face according to their age groups and how to safeguard public properties”.

Other ADP Departments have participated in the Exhibition, including Community Police Department, Social Support Centers Department, Medical Services Department, Emergency and Public Safety Department.The exhibition has attracted a remarkable big turnout of visitors.

Major Ahmed Salim Al Niyadi, Head of Media and Public Relations Section said, “Participation has focused on raising the levels of traffic awareness among the girls of the school, as how to take and leave the school bus, safe crossing of roads and negative consequences of traffic accidents and the resulting deaths and severe injuries”.

“Participation includes distribution of awareness publications, shows and answering girls questions about all traffic aspects”, added Al Niyadi.
