Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ visited the Medical Services Department. In his meeting with staff and with Colonel Jassem Al Tunaiji, Director of the Medical Services Department, Major General Badran shed light on the improved quality of medical services provided by the Department, in line with the police leadership’s vision to enhance medical and therapeutic services its staff and their families. Moreover, he added that teamwork improves performance and ensures the success of the services development process.
Addressing staff members, he continued: “The Medical Services Department of Abu Dhabi Police flourishes thanks to your efforts in providing treatment and advice to patients, as well as spreading the medical culture on various topics among community members.” He urged them to pursue teamwork and cooperation to provide and develop medical and therapeutic services; as per the government's strategy in health care.
He lauded the leading medical services in providing treatment for patients; as well as introducing the best equipment, to help physicians diagnose cases and prescribe the proper treatments. He added that current and future projects, which will include all services provided by the Department, will have a positive impact in promoting quality improvement.
Notably, the dental clinic was enhanced with new orthodontic services.
He also emphasized that the Department provides its services in all Punitive Reformatory Establishments, as well as the Al Mafraq Juvenile Care Center.
Major General Badran toured the specialized clinics building, which houses the Gastroenterology, the Orthopedics, Dermatology, venereal diseases, and Otolaryngology sections. He also inspected the dental clinic, the gynecology clinic, pediatrics clinic, radiology section, as well as the eye surgery unit ("LASIK"). He inquired from patients about the medical and therapeutic services they receive; stressing the police leadership’s keenness to provide comprehensive health services to its entire staff.
