ADP discusses cooperation with German Police

 

ADP has discussed mutual cooperation with the German Police in research and studies, exchange of visits and sending officers from ADP to learn German Language.

A delegation from the Federal Bureau of the German Forensic Police has recently paid a visit to the Center of Research and Security Studies at ADP. Brigadier (Dr.) Saeed Saif Al Alawi, Deputy Chairman of Scientific Coordination Committee briefed the visiting delegation on ADP efforts to combat crime and preventive measures.

The delegation comprised Mr. Carl Ernest Brisash, Director of Forensic Studies and Training Institute at the Federal Bureau, Dr. Michel Bornan, Head of Research and Forensic Consultancy Group, Mr. Steve Cross, Liaison Officer at the German Forensic Police Office in Abu Dhabi and Iyhab Al Zaatri, Assistant Liaison Officer.

The German delegation lauded ADP achievements and efforts to confront crime, especially when there are more than 200 nationalities representing different ethnicities, religions and cultures, living in UAE.

Mr. Mahmood Mohammad Abdul Qadir a Researcher in the Center explained to the delegation the security researches and books issued by the Center. He also briefed them on the symposiums, conference and presentations organized by the Center, in addition to translation of specialized researches.

The Center issues a specialized magazine each month on policing, security, social and criminal justice sciences researches. He explained the recent amendments to the Traffic Federal Law and their contribution to traffic accidents reduction. The Center is a referral and advisory source fro several agencies in the country. During the period 2004 - 2009 the Center gave 42 advices, organized 18 workshops, delivered 33 lectures, issued 238 researches and 80 studies in different policing and security areas.
