The Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Ports and Airports Security Police department at the Directorate General of Security and Ports Affairs took part in the Security and Safety Exhibition at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The exhibition, organized by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), in “Al Dar” lounge at the airport, aims to raise public awareness on methods of implementing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines.

Lt. Colonel Abdul Aziz Al Subeaei, Director of Projects and Committees Follow-up Unit at the Ports Security Department expressed ADP commitment to support partnership with its strategic partners via positive interaction and by enhancing cooperation.

This step contributes to educate individuals on safety requirements, and best practices, as per international norms and standards in the area of health, safety and environment.

He added that the exhibition highlights the distinguished role of the police in dealing with hazardous materials. He expressed his thanks to ADAC for its vital role in maintaining security and aviation safety; commending its efforts to raise public awareness on safety and security procedures.

For his part, Captain Hamdan Al Falahi, Director of Support Services Department, at Airport Police Department and Supervisor of the Police pavilion said that the Exhibition was established in line with the Abu Dhabi Police’s policy to promote communication with the public. “This exhibition achieves the awareness objectives in the areas of safety and security procedures at airports,” he continued.

Moreover, he indicated that the exhibition included a number of events, as well as modern techniques and state-of the-art equipment used in the security field.

In turn, Lieutenant Ahmed Al-Nuaimi, events coordinator  and member of the Projects and Committees Follow-up Unit at the Ports and Airports Security Department, stated that the police pavilion provided a comprehensive overview to the public on the role of the Ports and Airports Security in inspection and awareness, particularly, educating the public on prohibited materials. Moreover, the exhibition included video presentations on inspection methods; distribution of awareness brochures on security and safety; in addition to several presentations, shedding light on the Department’s achievements with respect to awareness courses.
