Major General Staff Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, deputy commander-in-chief of Abu Dhabi Police highlighted the importance of the “Marathon of Loyalty” sporting event, adding that it reflects the loyalty towards His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
The 2nd edition of the marathon will be held tomorrow under the auspices of His Highness Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Higher Committee and Ruler of Sharjah. 

Major General Al Kutbi received Saleh Hassan, general coordinator of the “Marathon of Loyalty” in his office at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.

The major general affirmed the importance of such important sporting events, as they contribute to the spread of sports in Emirati society. He hailed the auspices of His Highness Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi. 

He said: “This event is a great opportunity for citizens and residents to express their patriotism, loyalty, and gratitude to His Highness President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.”

He also expressed his hope that this event lives up to the meanings and values it carries in order to remain a source of pride for all participants, as it truly reflects the meaning of love, gratitude, and loyalty to the leadership of the nation.

Major General Al Kutbi hailed the efforts exerted by the organizing committee and the sporting officials who will attend the marathon coming from within and outside of the state. He highlighted the importance of underlying the role of the citizens, referring to both men and women.
 
For his part, Saleh Mohammed Hassan said that it is the longest race in the world in which 41 runners carry a written message in expression for their loyalty for His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to coincide with the UAE 41st National Day Commemoration. He stated that the race will start in Sharjah on Tuesday evening in front of the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, passing through many of the tourist areas in Dubai, and will finish on Wednesday at midnight, in front of the Presidential Court in Abu Dhabi.
