Abu Dhabi Police GHQ concluded its quality week events, organized by the Human Resources General Department; coinciding with World Quality Day, which is observed in the second week of November every year.

The final day events included a lecture held in the city of Al Ain, delivered by Colonel Fahd Saif Al-Mutawah, Director of the Criminal Evidence Department of ADP titled “The Importance of Excellence in Police Work”.

The lecture shed light on the basic concepts of excellence and its objectives, and the reasons for applying excellence in the Government sector. Moreover, the lecturer affirmed that security is the most important pillar for competitiveness in excellence; stressing the importance of quality in police work to ensure fast completion of transactions and achieve customers satisfaction. He also highlighted the optimal use of available resources and governance of security work.

In his lecture, Engineer Mohammed Ahmed Jameh , General Manager, Smelter Maintenance in Dubai Aluminum Company and Vice President of the ''UAE Ideas” Awards, gave an overview about the Emirates Quality Association quality and  the UAE Ideas Awards. He shed light on the challenges of sustainable development, and highlighted the importance of creativity in institutions and its various classifications.

Moreover, he listed the most important international companies and institutions that excelled in the field of creativity; then tackled the leadership skills; talents’ scouting; systems interaction and future challenges for creativity.

On the other hand, another workshop was held in the Western region, as part of the World Quality Day celebrations. The workshop, which was organized by the Quality and Excellence Team of Abu Dhabi Police, comes in line with the strategy to spread the culture of quality as a daily practice among all Abu Dhabi Police staff. This aims to improve the quality of functions and tasks; reflecting positively on operational performance and services provided to the public.

The first part of the workshop touched on the concept of Quality and Excellence management in police work, namely; services. This concept has become an objective that everyone seeks to achieve, to improve services and gain the public’s confidence.

The second part of the workshop focused on the concept of present and future customer service, as a concept of excellence. It tackled the importance of raising awareness among participants on the concept of customer service; exchanging the latest experiences in this area; identifying strategies and models of excellence in customer service; and consolidating the concept as a collective responsibility that everyone seeks to achieve.

At the end of the workshop, participants presented their queries; and various inquiries and interventions were answered.
