AD Traffic Police and SAAED prepared to set a Guinness World Record
The Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police and SAAED Company for Traffic Systems are prepared to set a Guinness world record in traffic awareness through a lecture to be attended by 3000 people in one place and one time.
They will organize the largest traffic awareness lecture in the world next Monday at the National Theater in Abu Dhabi with around 3000 people attending, to set a world Guinness record.
Winners of the Grand International Artistic Traffic Competition organized by SAEED will be honored during the lecture.
Brigadier Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police said the initiative aims to improve levels of traffic safety in Abu Dhabi by working together with main partners to develop traffic safety and enhance traffic culture among various segments of road users.
It also aims to warn the society about the risks of traffic accidents and encourage the public to abide by traffic rules to avoid such fatal accidents He refereed to the efforts of Abu Dhabi Police in combating traffic accidents and their dreadful impacts, a part from employing human and technical capabilities in traffic awareness.
The initiative is aspiring to set a world Guinness record as the greatest awareness traffic safety campaign in terms of the number of target audience and end-users in one day and in one place, he noted.
The Directorate’s responsibilities are not confined to traffic enforcement and offences only, the Directorate is working on boosting traffic awareness among the public of all age groups, he followed, indicating that the impact of such campaigns is determined by the reactions of the society.
