A car mechanical workshop for qualifying Al Mufraq juveniles

 

Al Futtaim Motors, exclusive dealer in Toyota and Lexus cars in the UAE, has donated a big set of mechanical equipment, to set up a car mechanical workshop at Al Mufraq Juvenile Section in Abu Dhabi. It forms an integrated working environment, including a jack, air compressor, hand tools, engines, gear boxes and others. The initiative is within the continuous communication and cooperation with partners, companies, firms, and institutions.

Lt. Colonel Ibrahim Hassan Al Marzouqi, Head of Al Mufraq Juvenile Care Section said "The setting up of the workshop is part of a comprehensive initiative proposed by the Department of Correctional and Punitive establishments in Abu Dhabi, so as to diversify educational activities and programmes and to promote skills of juveniles. This will be done through organization of workshops, training courses and learning classes for illiteracy, information technology, carpentry, auto mechanics and electricity and computer maintenance".

"The launching of the initiative is a new step in correctional work. It is intended to strike balance between academic education and instilling life skills in juveniles. Al Futtaim contribution is a positive initiative which deserves praise and appreciation", added Al Marzouqi. 

On the other hand Mr. Simon Fraith, from Al Futtaim Motors Company, in his comment on the imitative said "Practical knowledge which the training will provide for juveniles will give them the opportunity to develop their future by depending on real experiences in auto sector. The raining courses will cover periodical maintenance, basic repairs and health areas. The trainees will undergo series of practical and oral tests".
