Around 511 vehicles and buses transporting Hajj pilgrims from inside and outside of the country   have crossed the Al Ghwaifat border exit check point during 25-30 October, according to The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate.

Director of Highways Department of Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Bloushi stressed the continuation of the efforts exerted to ensure the safety of Hajj pilgrims during their journey back from the holy lands.
 
Traffic control has been intensified on the Al Ghwaifat -Abu Dhabi highway, and all facilities have been provided to them to ensure their safe arrival.
He called upon motorists and bus drivers to maintain traffic safety and abide by legal speed limit which is specified as 140 k/m for light vehicles, 120 k/h for buses and 80 k/m for trucks.
 
He urged motorists coming or going to spend their Eid holidays inside or outside the country to exercise caution, reduce speed limit, avoid using handheld mobile phones, wear safety belts, and ensure that children below the age of ten are seated in the rear seat.
 
Mortises are also advised to leave enough distance from their vehicles and those in front specially during these foggy days when visibility levels decrease. Overtaking is absolutely forbidden in such situations to avoid collisions, he warned.
