35 thousand have visited the Community Police Web Site
The Department of Community Police website received 35 thousand visitors since its launch by Major General Mohammad bin al Awadhi Al Minhali, Director general of Human Resources and Acting Director General of Policing Operation in January 2010, to introduce the role of the community police to the public.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak Awadh bin Meheiroom Al Amri, Director of ADP Department of Community Police said "The site allows visitors to review social activities, methods of communication with social patrols which roam neighborhoods to enhance safety and security among community members by getting their phone numbers and contacting them in an effective way".
The web site www.cp.adpolice.gov.ae, also includes information about partners who cooperate with the community police in combating crime, providing a number of services in coordination with local, government and company departments under jurisdiction at residential areas.
The website also receives complaints and suggestions sent by citizens or residents. The news involving the Department will also be shown, including media interviews such as "Hadi and Abu Zaal" Radio {Programme broadcast through Abu Dhabi Quran Radio Channel.)
An electronic link has been introduced recently on the community police web site which allows all police personnel to vote for selection of Butina Island to be included in the new seven natural wonders.
