3-year old boy rescued from a11-meter deep empty well in Al Ain 

 

Abu Dhabi Police have rescued a three-year old Pakistani boy who fell into a 11-meter deep empty well located in a yard of his family house, at Mazeed Area in Al Ain. Luckily the boy sustained only minor bruises. The rescue team of Emergency and Public safety Section in Al Ain managed to rescue the boy within minutes and professionally.

Lt. Colonel Zayed Mohammad Al Hajri, Acting Head of Emergency and Public Safety Section in Al Ain, of ADP GHQ, said "The Rescue Team of the Section has managed to rescue the boy after a report received by the Operations Room about the incident".

"A Rescue Team rushed to the scene of the incident. They explored the empty well with a torch where they saw the boy in the bottom of the well. One member of the Rescue Team climbed down with use of rescue tools. Then he ensured that the boy was safe and did not sustain serious injuries, and climbed up with the boy", said Al Hajri.

"As soon as he came up the paramedics attended to him, provided him with first aid conducted primary medical examinations and ascertained that the boy's vital signs were normal. Then he was taken to al Ain Hospital for further treatment", added Al Hajri.

Al Hajri urged citizens and residents to cover all uncovered wells, to keep a close watch on their children, especially those under 10. The boy apparently tripped on the wooden lid placed at the mouth of the well, while he was playing.
