The Al Ain Police Directorate concluded the activities of the National Campaign for Blood Donation at the Zakher police station, in cooperation with the Regional Blood Bank in Tawam Hospital and with the participation of "Johns Hopkins Medical."

Brigadier General Hamad Ajlan Al Amemi, Al Ain Police Director, lauded the success of the campaign and the turnout of donors; there were 282 employee donors from the various centers and departments of the Al Ain Police.

He stressed the importance of blood donation, as it represents an important step in providing large quantities of blood for the sick and the needy, as well as for traffic accidents victims and others. He hailed the efforts exerted by the Regional Blood Bank and Tawam Hospital in paying attention to health care and providing such humanitarian services. He also emphasized the keenness of the directorate to continue this cooperation through the upcoming years.

For his part, Hamad Al Mulla, Director of the Regional Blood Bank, said that the campaign’s success was a result of the cooperation of the Al Ain Police Directorate, the Regional Blood Bank, and Tawam Hospital. He valued the support of the police leadership for the volunteer work and urged employees to activate their role in volunteer-oriented and humanitarian fields. He also hailed the efforts exerted by the Al Ain Police Directorate and its initiatives in blood donation appreciating all the members in the directorate for their humanitarian step.

This campaign was launched last month and witnessed an increasing turnout for blood donation by all the members of the Al Ain Police centers and departments including: the police stations in Al Jimi, Al Madina, Al Makam, Al Sina’iya, Al Sad, and Al Khazna; the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, the Medical Services Section; the Forensic Evidence Department; the Security Inspection Department K9; the Police Courts; the VIP Protection Section; the Heavy Vehicles Licensing Department in Mazyad; the Mazyad and Khatm Al Shakla Border Crossings Department; the Explosives Branch; the Facilities Department in Al Ain; the Social Support Center; the Community Police Department; and the Investigations Department.
