151,000 traffic accidents in Abu Dhabi
 
in one year due to non-compliance with traffic rules

 

The Law Respect Culture Bureau at The Secretariat General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Saaed Company for Traffic Systems have participated in the seminar of “The driver is rights and duties”. The seminar was organized by the Jurists Society at the lecture theatre in the Scientific Innovation School in Sharjah on the occasion of the 26th GCC Traffic week. The seminar confirmed that non-compliance with traffic rules caused 151,000 traffic accidents in Abu Dhabi alone last year.

The seminar was chaired by Mohammad Abdul Razaq Al Sidiq, Chairman of Research and Studies Committee and Legal Committee of the Society. Lt. Colonel (Dr.) Salah Al Ghoul, Director of Law Respect Culture Bureau, Engineer Ibrahim Yusuf Raml, CEO of Saaed Company and a number of school students were present at the seminar.

Lt. Colonel (dr.) Al Ghoul said “Law respect culture means that people are convinced that law leads them on the right track. Law respect culture must comes from inside the driver and not for fear of punishment”.

 “The government has constructed a developed network of roads, provided modern means of transport and bank facilities that allow everybody to own new car, in addition to race track for those who like this spot. Road users shall in turn adhere to traffic rules nad regulations. Most accidents are due to indifference and non-compliance with laws”, added Dr. Al Ghoul.

 Saaed Company CEO highlighted the nature of the company work and activities, its role in abeyance of the law. Saaed role is to deepen the rights and duties culture among drivers. He also mentioned the company role in responding in a record time to accidents scenes. He called for correct implementation of traffic rules for the safety of all road users.
