1200 from Abu Dhabi Police personnel's donate blood in Al Ain

 

Al Ain Police Directorate has organized a blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Regional Blood Bank in Al Ain. The campaign included the Directorate and Police Stations under its command at Al Jimi, Al Madina, Al Maqam, Industrial Area and Al Sad.

 Police Training Schools, Traffic Section, Medical Services Section and Mazeed Security Outlet have participated in the campaign. The total number of donors is 1200. In other words, it equals 14% of the total donors during the first seven months of this year.

 Colonel Hamad Ajlan Al Amyami, Director of Al Ain Police Directorate said "This campaign comes within the framework of the efforts which ADP GHQ, represented by Al Ain Police Directorate, makes to serve the community and to boost communication with different local departments and institutions".

 "Al Ain Police Directorate organizes blood donation campaigns regularly due to their important role in providing blood to help sick people and traffic accidents victims, as part of the humanitarian and social role of police", added Al Amyami.

 Hamad Al Mulla, Director of the Regional Blood Bank in Al Ain has lauded Al Ain Police Directorate efforts and cooperation with the Blood Bank. He indicated that the police donors represent the largest number of donors in Al Ain. This shows that the police organization is keen to serve the public in different areas.

 He said "Blood donation is beneficial to donors. It reduces the risks of heart and arteries diseases and control iron rate in human body as high rates endanger the vital organs of the body such as liver and kidneys. People who donate blood once a year is less exposed to blood circulation diseases".

 "Medical examinations and analysis which the donor undergoes will give him reassurance that his general health is good. If any disease is detected, the patient will be notified and an appointment will be made for him at the blood bank donor's clinic in order to follow up his condition and then referring him to the specialized medical centers in Al Ain", added Al Mullah.
