“Your safety”: It is necessary to maintain passenger buses
and replace tyres before the journey 

 

ADP Directorate of Traffic and Patrols has intensified traffic control on all external roads and Abu Dhabi – Al Ghuwaifat Road round the clock, to ensure traffic safety. They also aim to direct land travelers to the Holly land in Saudi Arabia and provide them with assistance during their journey.

Colonel Hamad Mubarak bin Atheith Al Amri, Director of Peripheral Areas Department at ADP Directorate of Traffic and Patrols, has affirmed the importance of the campaign launched by the Department of Security Media at the Secretariat General of the office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, under the slogan “Your Safety” to educate pilgrims on safety and protection conditions. The aim of the campaign also is to acquaint them with the services which ADP delivers. He has urged drivers to abide by speed limits and to take utmost precautions specially when travelling by night or during early morning hours.

Al Amri has called ones companies to ensure the safety of their vehicles, including their mechanical conditions, full maintenance, replacement of expires tryres and providing a reserve driver to replace the main driver when is get tired.

Pilgrims who drive their private vehicle should comply with legal loads and the height of the vehicle should not exceed 60 cm to avoid accidents resulting from such conditions.

Motorists should slow down during poor visibility conditions. Driver should stop if they feel tired in order to have some rest before continuing their journey. They should also adhere to speed limits in Saudi Arabia.
