The “My Fanily, My Responsibility” campaign team from the Al Ain Emergency and Public Safety Department at Abu Dhabi Police Directorate General of Central Operations, visited the Sheikh Mohammed Hamad bin Rakad Al Amri, member of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s Advisory Council, in the area of Yahar in Al Ain. The visit was attended by Sheikh Salem Mohammed bin Rakad Al Amri, member of the Federal National Council, and a large crowd of citizens.
Sheikh Mohammed Hamad bin Rakad Al Amri expressed his thanks and appreciation for Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for his kind patronage of the this awareness and educational campaign; which aims to achieve a safer and secure community.
In this context, Captain Mohammed Saleh Al Balushi, Head of the Emergency and Public Safety section of Al Ain, indicated that the visit comes in line with the activities of the campaign carried out by the Emergency and Public Safety Department at the Directorate General of Central Operations, in cooperation with the Emirates Nursing Association, and covers all the regions across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Al Balushi added that the team gave a practical demonstration shedding light on the means to deal with domestic emergency and unexpected accidents when they occur, such as fires and injuries. The team also introduced means of prevention from such accidents and the basic first-aid measures to be provided to the injured when accidents occur. Furthermore, the team answered questions and concerns of the audience on the means and methods to handle such incidents.
Concluding, Al Balushi pointed out that the campaign aims to promote safety requirements and prevention. It also aims to shed light on the means to respond to safety risks, and apply safety measures to protect families against risks; as well as spread good practices among citizens and residents alike, by teaching them first-aid to be used in case of need.
