Forum at Juvenile Care Center
ADP GHQ Department of Community Policing has organized an awareness forum under the title “Importance of law in daily life” at al Mafraq Juvenile Care Center in coordination with the Social Education Home for Boys, of the Ministry of Social Affairs Social Protection Department.
Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Meheiroom, Director of Community Policing Department said ‘The Forum comes within the Awareness plan being implemented by the Community Police, through the general strategy of ADP GHQ, to communicate with all community segments and to play an educational and coordinating role through a planning prgoramme for security awareness and education”.
In the same context Captain Al Hajj Mabkhoot Al Minhali,, Head of Community Policing Section in Abu Dhabi said “The educational and awareness security programme includes a number of issues which interest community members, with all its categories, citizens and residents in Abu Dhabi and at Foreign Communities level, in addition to communication with Punitive Establishments and Juvenile Centers to acquaint individuals with their rights and duties”.
Captain Ahmed Al Manssouri, Director of Awareness and Protection Branch at the Community Policing Department in Abu Dhabi, and Dr. Mahmood Abdul Aaleem, from the Social Education Home for Boys have participated in the Forum, held at Al Shamkha Hall of al Mafraq Juvenile Center.
Al Manssouri has affirmed the importance of law in human daily life, the importance of abiding by law in daily dealings and respect of law as the security framework which maintains human rights and surrounds them with a security fence. But violation of law makes individuals liable to punishment.
An individual cannot live alone in a society consists of several foreign and Arab communities without law and controls to regularized his relationship with the surrounding community and to assist him to coexist easily without committing mistakes and offences, added Al Manssouri.
Dr. Mahmood Abdul Aaleem said “The efforts made by the Community Police in educating juveniles is an important step in their life, in terms of acquainting them with the law articles that maintain their rights and facilitate life for them in a simple way, so as to be able to understand law and deal through it”. The Forum was also attended by a number of the Center officers.
