"Formula 1" Committee discuss security preparations
The supreme committee for security affairs of the formula1 race which will be held in Yas Island in Abu Dhabi held its meeting at the armed forces offices club to review the security preparations
Major General Obaid Major General (S) Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kitbi, Deputy Commander-in-chief along with his deputy's discussed various issues related to the assurance of fool proof security to be provided for the event that is going to put Abu Dhabi on the world map of motor sports.
Al kitbi discussed these issues with the members of the subcommittees and stressed the importance of coordination amoung various security groups so that no lapses in security arrangement occurs.
The event will be held during the month of November 2009.the committee also reviewed the arrangements that has to be done for providing accommodation for the participants and visitors, assuring smooth traffic flow, security of the VIPS, arrangements for the global media etc.
The chairman also asked the committee members to avail an on the hand experience by visiting places where the formula 1 is being held so that it can be of great help in organizing the Abu Dhabi event in a better way.
