"Child and Animal" week in "Kids Park"
The 2nd "Child and Animal" Festival Week will kick off at the "Kids Park" next Sunday. The Park is located at Al Bahya Area, between Abu Dhabi and Dubai Emirates.
The Week includes a number of cultural and recreational activities for children in addition to the opening of a new wing for wild animals and sports games intended to promote children environmental and physical awareness.
The owner of this national and social project Mr. Nasser La Khreibani Al Nuaimi says, we seek to reduce the gab created by modern life between children and animals in order to enhance familiarity between them within safe atmospheres. This will also acquaints them with our environmental partners and how to maintain them through knowing their types, how to possess them and their methods of life.
In the Model Park which serves the locals and all UAE children there several types of local animals such as dogs, horses, goats, birds, gazelles, camels, reptiles etc. A new wing for wild animals like leopards, tigers, hyenas, bears, monkeys will be added to the Park.
The free Week which its shows will continue from 09:30 up to 20:00 hours throughout the week days include live shows of domesticated and wild animals, in addition to vet lectures and recreational shows suit all age groups.
The Park which was opened by HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in November 2008, has attracted big turnout from UAE nationals and residents and residents of the neighboring countries. This because it is the first of its type in the Region which allows the children to come close and touch animals, within hygienic secures procedures. It caters for cultural and social aspects in addition to recreational features.
