"Al Faraj" allocates Dh3m to assist inmates
The Ministry of Interior Charity Fund "Al Faraj", which has been set up to assist Correctional and Punitive Establishments inmates and their families, has paid Dh 3m as humanitarian assistance to the inmates from June till date.
Major General Nasser La Khreibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior's Office and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the fund said that this assistance included providing of 300 air tickets for inmates of different nationalities who had served their terms of punishment who will be deported from UAE, payment of blood money and debts, financial assistance to inmates who embraced Islam, in addition to other humanitarian assistances.
The Board of directors is now looking into a number of cases for assistance as per the directives of HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The concept of the Fund is in line with the Islamic teachings.
