"999" Magazine celebrates its 40th anniversary after tomorrow
Major General Khalifa Harib Al Kheeli, MoI Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services will witness after tomorrow, Wednesday, the 40th anniversary celebrations of the cultural, social and security Magazine "999", at Al Raha Beach Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The celebrations programme includes a presentation about the progress of the Magazine and developments it witnessed in shape and content since its introduction in 1970. New development will also be revealed during the celebrations. A number of speeches ob the occasion will be delivered by Maisa Rashid Ghudeir, Member of the Federal National Council, Habib Al Ssaygh, Poet and Media Personality and Chairman of Emirates writers Association, Mona Abu Samra, Media personality and Secretary of Emirates Journalists Association. They will talk about their experience with the Magazine. The Poet Salim Al Zamar will deliver a poem on the occasion.
The programme includes a poem to be delivered by the child Aisha Al Naqeeb, Police Music Band will play pieces of music. There will be prizes for old subscribers to the Magazine. Sponsors and contributors to the Magazine will also be honored.
The 999 Magazine is a monthly magazine which is being issued by the Ministry of Interior since 1971. The Magazine has witnessed continuous developments throughout its career ended with the new title "999". It has made many changes in its contents in order to keep pace with developments and aspirations of its readers.
The Magazine also issues a supplement under the title "Police Community" and "999" Supplement in English language on monthly basis, in addition to awareness supplements.
