“Western Region Police” opens electronic station to vote for Bu Tinah Island

Western Region Police opened electronic station to vote for Bu Tinah Island at the Police Officers Club, to make it easier for employees and customers to vote.

“The success which UAE has achieved on preserving the environment and natural life should be encouraged till the Bu Tinah Island is established as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature”, said Brigadier Hamad Saeed bin Terais Al Dhaheri, director of Western Region Police.

“This voting is not for Bu Tinah only; it is for spreading the culture of preserving the environment and supporting the UAE efforts in this respect”, added Al Dhaheri.

He urged all employees to vote in support of this natural landmark, which will help pass on the UAE natural image to every home in the world if bu Tinah Island wins the title.

On the other hand, the massive public awareness campaign tilted “dangers of sharp edged weapons”, which has started at the beginning of this week is still continuing.

Commenting on the event, Al Dhaheri said, “the awareness program is targeting schools, educational institutions, family development centers and Majlis of citizens in the Western Region”.

Using sharp edged weapons is a phenomenon which involves negative consequences on the society, added Al Dhaheri.

He noted that it is important to educate children and urge them to correct their behavior, to abide by law and to resort to police and judicial agencies to get their rights.
