“Social Support” organizes a forum under the slogan (My family is my security and my stability)
The Department of Social Support Centers at Abu Dhabi Police has organized a Forum under the theme (My family is my security and my stability), with a view to implant appropriate social values through the first nucleus of the community which is the family, in collaboration with Al Mawahib Model School. School students, teaching staffs, mothers’ councils and a number of trainees from Women Police Training and Qualification Section were present.
Brigadier (Dr.) Saeed Saif Al Aalawi, from the office of the Director General of Policing Operations chaired the Forum sessions. The working papers stressed the importance of strengthening the positive role of family care especially the factors leading to delinquency and criminal behavior, in addition to fortifying youth minds against being drifted towards concepts that do not allowed by their community and religious believes.
Dr. Khalid Al Naqbi discussed in his paper titled ‘Your family is your future” upbringing children on good conducts and behavior and sense of responsibility. Children should be looked after and given adequate doses of love so as not to seek it outside their homes, religious education. They should be encouraged to be frank and state their thoughts without hesitation. Parents should listen to their children, accept their views and solve their problems.
Dr. Aarif Al Aajil affirmed in his paper titled “My family is my home land’ family stability means nation stability. Therefore, love of country, belonging principle and respect of community norms should be instilled in our children. Children should be taught how to make use of their leisure time and convince them that they are effective and dynamic elements in the community.
Captain Mohammad Al Hhafeiti, from ADP said in his paper titled ‘My family is my haven’ “Happiness of parents is in their children happiness. They should be allowed to live in a warm family atmosphere. Thus the family and community would ensure stability and security”.
At the end of the forum, Brigadier Saeed Al Aalawi, Lt. Colonel Saeed Al Kaabi and Captain Mohammad Al Minhali presented trophies to the school and those present. They thanked them for their cooperation.
