Women forum at Al Ain Officers Club launched
The annual women forum was launched on Wednesday at the Police Officers Club in Al Ain.
The one- year long event was attended by Lt. Col. Huda Ghareeb Al Shamesi, head of Women Police at the Al Ain Police Directorate, Capt. Maryam Jassem Al Ali, head of Nursery Section in the Clubs and Sport Activities, an addition to representatives of the participating bodies.
In speech in this occasion, Al Shamesi pointed out the attention paid by the higher leadership in the country to the women, which enabled them to prove their efficiency in various areas of national work.
For her part, Afraa Al Shamesi, social supervisor at the Club, said, “The forum includes chess contest for both women and children, oparet, art works presented by the girls of Al Lalie Model School, in addition to other religious, educational, health and social activities.
According to Afraa, the participating bodies includes, Al Ain Businesswomen Branch which will present promotional offers to the innovative ladies, and the Al Ain Club of the Handicapped which will distribute pamphlets to enlighten the society members with its roles.
Al Ain Government hospital will also participate with awareness lectures on diabetes and conducting free medical examinations.
