The Ministry of Interior inaugurated the Civil Defence Center in the Integrated Services Center “Tam” (English: “Done”) on Wednesday morning, in Al Marfaa City in the Western Region. The center, which has already begun serving clients, provides seven main services to the residents of the city.
The opening ceremony was attended by Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Acting Director General of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense; Colonel Saeed Salem Al Shamesi, Director General of Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs, Abu Dhabi; Colonel Ibrahim Nasser Al Shamesi, Deputy Director of Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Abu Dhabi Police; and a number of officers.
Colonel Mohammed Al Nuaimi stated that providing services to the public is one of the most important concerns of the Ministry of Interior, through securing the highest-quality, world-class services that result in the appropriate product, and reflect on the lifestyle of the society, including the new services provided by Civil Defense Center to the residents of the area.
Regarding the seven services, he explained that they provide: safety and security measures for facilities, vehicles, buildings, and for temporary fences and tents. They also secure the adoption of plans, measures for the transport of radioactive and hazardous materials, and measures for the licensing of trading companies (Civil Defense equipment).
Colonel Al Nuaimi encouraged the employees of the center to work on improving the level performance and services provided to the public, as well as being willing to gain the trust of the clients, emphasizing the importance of joining efforts of all partners to make the different services available in the new facility.
The clients of the center valued this accomplishment that adds to the services provided by the “Tam” centers in the Western Region, and appreciated the time and effort these centers reduce for them.
