Two batches of trainees graduated in riot control and
Drugs crime investigations
Major (Engineer) Ahmed Abdullah Al Shamari, Director of Support Services Branch at Al Ain Special Tasks Section, has witnessed on behalf of the Head of the Section the graduation ceremony trainees in riot control at the Training Hall of the Section. The course continued for two weeks and 21 elements from Al Ain Special Tasks section attended the course.
The course focused on providing the trainees with advanced skills in riots control, crowd dispersal and control by use of advanced technologies and weapons. They also trained in controlling riots by the help of police dogs.
They received theoretical and practical training in how to break up crowds and to disperse demonstrators by use of water cannon and barriers during peaceful demonstrations, and how to resort to support groups if the special group could not control the situation and the use of (Wave) tactic to control demonstrators.
On the other hand Major Abdullah Mohammad al Hassani, Director of Narcotic-Drugs Control Branch in Al Ain witnessed the graduation ceremony of trainees in drugs crime investigations. The course, which was organized in collaboration with the German Embassy to the UAE, was attended by 15 personnel from ADP Narcotic-Drugs Control.
The course discussed theoretical and practical issues about the types of drugs, drugs abuse and ways of smuggling, in order to enable trainees to investigate drugs crimes.
